Brady Quinn doesn't need me defending him, but in light of recent criticism leveled at BQ on the eve of the NFL draft, I'm going to do it anyway. Quinn detractors are repeating the mantra that BQ is a nice quarterback, but that he "didn't play well in big games." ESPN's resident moron Merrill Hoge stated on national radio that he didn't feel that BQ was worthy of being selected in the first round of the draft. We'll take these one at a time.

Coming into the draft Quinn was considered to be one of the top players in the country and was invited to attend the draft in person. Before the draft started, Quinn was labeled as a "franchise quarterback in the mold of Carson Palmer." He was projected to be picked in the top ten and even could have been the number one overall pick. While some suspected the Browns would select Quinn with the third pick, he fell to the 22nd pick in the draft before being picked up by them.

Green Bay Packers safety Nick Collins left Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers on a stretcher, after suffering what appears to be a head/neck injury. The injury happened while trying to make a tackle on running back Jonathan Stewart.
Collins’ helmet hit Stewart’s hip area which caused his neck to bend awkwardly. He ended up landing face down on the ground and was taken off on a stretcher. Collins did wave to the crowd as he was being carried off the field.
Collins is considered to be one of the top safeties in the NFL. Hopefully everything is OK and he’ll be back on the field soon for the Packers.(Source)

On to the wallpaper I made...In my opinion, this is my best wallpaper. Everything seemed to work well but I wish the bottom of his foot wasn't cut off. I faded it out and it's only a small cut off in the photo but it's not too noticeable. The bigger Vick int he background really makes this wallpaper stand out too. I really love this piece. What do you all think? Is Mike Vick the MVP? Is this my best wallpaper yet?

Could Harrison actually be serious here? Would the 2008 NFL Defensive Player of the Year actually call it quits in the prime of his career? Of course not and this is where I’m calling shenanigans on Harrison. But in general, I like where his head’s at. While he may not be serious about retiring, he has every right to be pissed that two legal tackles he made this past Sunday resulted in $75,000 out of his pocket. Even I’m pissed. The same goes for this play by Dunta Robinson that resulted in a $50,000 fine from the NFL, but at least this one was called for a penalty in the game.

Like him or not, Mike Vick is back in a big way. He is the leader in Pro Bowl voting and a solid candidate for NFL MVP with 24 total touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. With that said, I have definately been watching him play. Actually i have watched him his whole career. I live in Charlotte, NC so when Mike was with Atlanta he was a big rival to the Panthers. He is no doubt one of my favorite players to watch in the NFL this year. And he has really turned his life around after being away for a while. I truly think he has changed for the better.

For the last 3 seasons I have bitched about Romo. His turnovers, lack of leadership, terrible decision making have been in my eyes why the Cowboys can't get over the hump.
People point to his stats as the proof in the pudding, saying he is always at the top of the league in passing yards and TD's. My argument to that is that he has the most talented team around him in the NFL, and what would be a 5 yd out on another team, turns into a 75 yd TD pass to Miles Austin/Witten/Jones/Williams/Bryant. I have said for years that if they had a mediocre QB that would properly manage the game (not turn the ball over)they would be better off than Romo closing his eyes and throwing to Witten.
Well, I finally get what I have wished for....Jon Kitna. I am saying now that Kitna will get them to at least .500 and with how bad the conference is, they could still make the playoffs.
Now time to just sit back and see what happens.
The IFAF Senior World Championship is an eight-nation football tournament held every four years since 1999. Games will be played in Graz, Innsbruck and Vienna. The U.S. defeated Japan, 23-20, in double overtime in Tokyo, Japan, to win the 2007 tournament, the first that included Team USA. Prior to the United States’ participation, Japan earned gold medals at the first two IFAF Senior World Championships played in Palermo, Italy (1999), and Frankfurt, Germany (2003).
The U.S. Men’s National Team offensive coordinator is Larry Kehres (pronounced "CARE-us"), head coach of the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio. Kehres is 303-23-3 (.926) in 25 seasons with the Purple Raiders, winning 10 NCAA Division III national championships in 14 title game appearances. His teams also have won 19 consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference crowns, 21 in all.
The U.S. defensive coordinator is Lou Tepper, a former head coach at Illinois, Edinboro (Pa.) and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Tepper was the Illini head coach from 1991-96, going 25-31-2 and reaching three bowl games. He is 101-75-2 (.573) overall in 16 seasons a head coach. Tepper has served as the architect of elite defenses in his 17 years as a Division I defensive coordinator at Virginia Tech, Colorado and Illinois.
The German Team under the guidance of Offensive Coordinator Brad Arbon and Defensive Coordinator Dogan Özdincer showed major changes within the structure and personnel as just 18 Players from last years team who won the title played in the game. However it did not change the outstanding performance of Team Germany.
