Rooney Mara Hot Unseen Pictures


Patricia Rooney Mara, born 1985, is an American actress who will portray Salander, the main character in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, the first of three Sony Pictures film based on Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy book series. Mara oversees charities Faces of Kibera, which benefits orphans in the Kibera slum in Nairobi, Kenya, one of the largest slums in Africa. She is the younger sister of actress Kate Mara.


Mara is the great grandson of Pittsburgh Steelers founder Art Rooney Sr. and the New York Giants founder Tim Mara. Her grandfather, Wellington Mara, the long-term owner of the Giants, followed by her uncle, John Mara. She is the grand-niece of Daniel Rooney, Chairman of the Steelers, the American ambassador to Norway, and co-founder of the Irish charity funds.

Mara made her professional debut in a supporting role in the 2005 direct-to-video horror film Urban Legends: Bloody Mary, who played her sister. Mara appeared in the film Dream Boy and friends for years, and guest-starred as Megan for two episodes of NBC's IS in 2009. Mara was at the Hamptons International Film Festival in October 2009 as part of its Breakthrough Artist Program, where she was taught along with Zach Gilford, Emmy Rossum and Emma Stone as Sharon Stone.
