::Taylor Swift:: Begin Again Song

About the Song:
Released: 2012
Writing Credits: Taylor Swift
Label: Big Machine Records
Genre: Country, Pop
Rating: 4 ½ out of 5
Debut: #1
The Story: Following the end of a relationship, a girl finally decides, eight months later to go on a first date, again starting over, taking that first step to begin a new relationship, renewing her faith in love.
My Thoughts: After her chart-topping first single from the upcoming album, Red, Taylor Swift has again enchanted us with the second track from said album in this song that seems to retreat to her country roots. When I first listened to it, I was unimpressed by, what seemed, a copy-cat plot. On the surface, it comes across no different than Swift’s usual writing and in many platforms it is. Multiple plays since has changed my mind – this song is so much better than ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.’ For the first time in a long time, a Swift song tells a compelling story of new love that paints the hero as a gentleman (the sort of guy the fairer sex often thinks makes them look weak! What-ever!). In novels, songwriting or film, no matter the media, it is hard to find a guy who fits that description – when we do, it’s usually after a “search,” so I do applaud Taylor for giving us a guy who stands when she enters the room or pulls out his date’s chair as Taylor replies, and you don't know how nice that is.

::Taylor Swift:: Red Song

About the Song:
Released: 2012
Writing Credits: Taylor Swift
Label: Big Machine Records
Genre: Country, Pop
Rating: 4 ½ out of 5
Debut: #1 (on iTunes)
The Story: Recounting all the emotions that come with a whirlwind romance – missing, losing, loving are likened to the colors, grey, blue and red.All with another spin on swirling emotions that come with the end of a relationship.

My Thoughts: From the opening stanza of ‘Red,’ I sort of fell for this song. The third song to be released from Swift’s upcoming album (coincidentally, also this track is the title song) as a part of the iTunes countdown she is promoting and so far, it may be my favorite

::Carrie Underwood:: Good Girl Song

About the Song:
Released: 2012
Writing Credits: Carrie Underwood, Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley
Label: 19 Recordings
Genre: Country, Pop
Debut: #1
My Thoughts: although “Good Girl” has a ring of familiarity to it, it does not diminish how awesome this track is – seriously. Each time I listen to it, I like it more. (I’ve probably listened to it half-a-dozen times since its release Thursday!) As early reviews have claimed, Carrie nails this song – yet again. In much the tradition of her prior tracks, I don’t feel like we are being asked to listen to a song that has been sung time and again only with different titles and words (example being “Cowboy Casanova”) but rather another destined-to-become-number-one-single from an artist who is multi-talented.

The message of the song itself has a good-bad vibe going for it. On the one hand, it is encouraging girls to stay away from guys that are “bad news” but on the other hand, in getting there, some of the lines aren’t always above criticism.

Taylor Swift - Red Song and lyrics

 Taylor Swift - Red lyrics
Artist : Taylor Swift
The title song : Red
Songwriters :

Loving him is like driving a new Maserati down a dead end street
Faster than the wind
Passionate as sin, ended so suddenly
Loving him is like trying to change your mind
Once you’re already flying through the free fall
Like the colors in autumn
So bright just before they lose it all

Eminem – Curtain Call (The Hits)

Genre: Rap

This cover shows someone stood on a stage with roses at their feet, with the words ‘EMINEM, CURTAIN CALL, THE HITS’ written in capitals in the middle of the image. We cannot see the person’s face, but the implied character is the artist, Eminem himself.
We are given the impression that this man is stood on a stage, because of the name of the album, the curtains in the background and the roses on the floor. This suggests that the figure holds power and authority as well as success and popularity. These are all positive connotations for the man and therefore the audience may feel envious towards him because of these qualities. Being jealous in this way may make some people in the audience want to be more like Eminem and therefore buy his album as it makes them that step closer to being like him. The character is wearing a suit which implies that he is wealthy and upper class. If he were wearing a t-shirt and jeans, there would be a different meaning being sent to the audience that he was more casual and possibly less caring. The suit shows the audience that Eminem cares about his appearance and what he comes across like to his audience. This means that the audience will always see that he is making an effort for them and they will respect this.

Pia Toscano - Beautiful Singer Pia Toscano Photos and Wallpapers

pia toscano wallpapers
In news that certainly comes as no surprise to anyone who watched this past season of “American Idol," fan favorite Pia Toscano has inked a record deal with Interscope Records, the label announced Wednesday.

Toscano, once perceived a potential front-runner, was eliminated from the competition early on to the dismay of fans and the judges. Jennifer Lopez, in fact, couldn’t contain her tears.

The singer will release her debut single, “This Time,” on Tuesday and will undoubtedly perform the track during the “Idol” summer tour, which launches in Salt Lake City tonight.
