Green Bay Packers ( Nick Collins ) : Nick Collins Head / Neck Injury Details | Nick Collins Updated News | NFL News |

Green Bay Packers safety Nick Collins left Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers on a stretcher, after suffering what appears to be a head/neck injury. The injury happened while trying to make a tackle on running back Jonathan Stewart.

Collins’ helmet hit Stewart’s hip area which caused his neck to bend awkwardly. He ended up landing face down on the ground and was taken off on a stretcher. Collins did wave to the crowd as he was being carried off the field.

Collins is considered to be one of the top safeties in the NFL. Hopefully everything is OK and he’ll be back on the field soon for the Packers.(Source)

Green Bay Packers Win Super Bowl XLV

Green Bay Packers Wins Against the Pittsburgh Steelers with the score 31-25.

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Aaron Rodgers turned the Green Bay Packers into Super Bowl champions once again.

Rodgers threw three touchdown passes, and Nick Collins returned an interception for another score, leading the Packers to a 31-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

This was Green Bay's fourth Super Bowl title. The Packers won the first two Super Bowls with Vince Lombardi coaching Bart Starr, and they claimed another with Brett Favre in January 1997.

The Steelers trailed 21-3 before halftime. Ben Roethlisberger pulled them within 28-25 midway through the fourth quarter with a touchdown pass and a nifty two-point conversion. The Packers answered with a field goal, giving Roethlisberger and the Steelers one last chance.

Needing to go 87 yards in 1:59 with one timeout left, the Steelers couldn't make it across midfield.

Green Bay Packers & a White Velvet Vanilla Bean Cupcake recipe

Green Bay is still in the playoffs and I had an order for some customized cupcakes for a Green Bay birthday party this past weekend!

For the cupcakes, I made a White Velvet Vanilla Bean cupcake topped with Vanilla Bean Buttercream. Oh my goodness, let me tell you... I LOVE this vanilla cupcake recipe! It's dense but not too thick, moist yet still has little bits of cake that crumble with you take a bite and FULL of flavor!

The recipe I used for these cupcakes came from a White Velvet Raspberry cupcake I did a while back... but I vamped it up a little bit by adding sour cream and steeping the milk with a fresh vanilla bean. YUM!

This new recipe is also the same recipe I used for these Seahawks 12th Man Cupcakes!

donald driver - Donald Driver is an Inspiration

Donald Driver is an Inspiration
Donald Driver, a Texan turned Wisconsin resident, has been playing with the Green Bay Packers since he was chosen in the 1999 NFL Draft out of Alcorn State University. Driver currently holds the Packers franchise record for the most TD receptions for any Packer wide receiver. During his time Alcorn State, Donald Driver was a five time “Athlete of the Year” in track and football. Driver is an incredible athlete with an intense background. Before turning his life around, Donald lived in a U-Haul truck and got into quite a bit of trouble with drugs and stealing. But, you would never know he had a shady past if you met the guy. As one of the toughest wide receivers in the NFL, Driver is talented, smart and an all around great guy. Driver currently hosts “Inside the Huddle with Donald Driver” which is a statewide TV show in its 7th season as of 2009. When he isn’t talking football, Driver tries to give back to the community and even started his own “Donald Driver Foundation” for children unable to pay their hospital bills.
