Before last month, French actress Marion Cotillard was known primarily to art film buffs for her roles in films such as Pretty Things and A Private Affair. Now that she's won the Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal of torch singer Edith Piaf in La Vie En Rose, she's a household word all across America.
Her American film credits include Big Fish (directed by Tim Burton), and she hopes to play Luisa Contini in the movie version of the Broadway musical Nine
